Winter sports holiday in Silvretta Montafon

St. Gallenkirch-Gortipohl is the ideal base from which to explore snow-sure Montafon (650 to 2330 m), a modern ski resort with a whopping 243 km of slopes. Montafon is made up of various ski regions of which Silvretta Montafon (Montafoner Hochjoch and Silvretta Nova combined) is the largest. In addition to 152 km of excellent slopes and the best freeride areas (Hochjoch and Nova),  you will also find Nova Park, one of Europe’s top snow parks, here. In the village of St. Gallenkirch you can take one of the two lifts up the mountain. The Valisera cable car will bring you to the Nella Nova at an altitude of 2,100 metres. Near mountain restaurant Bella Nova there is a children’s park, Bella Bambini, where children from the age of 5  can learn to ski in a fun-filled way. Gallenkirch-Gortipohl is also the perfect starting point for beautiful winter walks; Silvretta Montafon has 16 km of winter hiking trails. In the evenings, you can enjoy a 6.5-km long lighted winter trail that runs parallel to Gaschurn-St. Gallenkirch’s cross-country track. And make sure to experience the night toboggan run at Garfrescha (Nova)!
