Inhabitants of the Kaiser-Brixental resort, nickname it « the biggest resort in Austria ». It is made up of seven villages (Ellmau, Scheffau, Soll, Itter, Hopfgarten, Going and Brixen im Thale) and its pistes are suitable for beginners and experts alike (difficulty levels vary from easy to medium). With the skipass, you can make use of the Hohe Salves 250 km of pistes (1830 metres) and the skibus and lifts will help you to get around the resort.
Cross-country fans will have use of 170 km of pistes, set aside just for them and which are part of the famous Kaiser piste, 225 km long. Snowboarders wont be left out : snow-parks, ramps and lots of slopes await them. And thats not all: there are pistes fitted with their own lifts just for children, a great way to learn how to ski or snowboard.
In this winter sports resort, you will find a wealth of hotels and small restaurants. This is one of the resorts with the largest choice. The tourist office also organises excursions allowing you to visit all these hotels. So you can have a chance to sample a different local speciality in each one.
There is a wonderful ambiance in each of the villages, and you are sure to have a good time. Après-ski activities are also organised. If you want to relax, pop along to one of the many pools and make use of the sauna, solarium or massage parlour.
