Winter sports in the Aletsch Arena ski resort

Fiesch is part of the beautiful Aletsch region or Aletsch Arena. The ski resort of Aletsch Arena is made up of the areas Fiescheralp-Eggishorn, Bettmeralp and Riederalp, and offers 100 km. of ski slopes, 36 lifts and 72 kilometres of winter hiking trails. The Aletsch Arena is adjacent to the famous Aletsch glacier, at 23 kilometres the longest glacier in the Alps. Part of the Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site, the glacier is renowned for its natural splendour! Ski resort Fiescheralp/Kühboden/Eggishorn

Fiesch also has its very own ski resort, Fiescheralp-Eggishorn, which offers 45 km. of slopes that are particularly suitable for beginners and slightly more advanced skiers. From Fiesch, the cable car will take you to the Fiescheralp in just a few minutes, to the car-free ski resort of Kühboden (altitude 2212 m.). From Fiescheralp, you can take another cable car and travel even higher to Eggishorn (altitude 2869 m.). Here, you can take in fantastic views of the Aletsch glacier as well as the three mighty Alpine “fourthousanders” of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. There is also a black category slope and 2 Fun Parks. Furthermore, Fiescheralp has a panoramic ski slope (towards Bettmeralp), a Kids Park at Kühboden station, and a 14 km. long toboggan run from Fiescheralp down to Lax in the valley. Fieschertal is also home to the small ski lift of Blätz, which is ideal for children learning to ski or sled. If you want to explore the winter landscape on foot, why not go on a beautiful winter walk on the 12 km-long winter walking trails around Fieschertal/Fiesch, or a snow shoe walk or cross-country tour.
